Overview
For Debian users, apt-cacher-ng
is available at :9999
.
For convinience, /debian
and /debian-backports
are transparently proxied
via apt-cacher-ng
to Debian archives.
Debian has discontinued debian-volatile
but an archived copy is available
at archive.debian.org debian-volatile=""
. For convinience /debian-volatile
is proxied via acng to this archived copy: archive.debian.org
Use
/debian
(and variants) as your repository. Ex:deb http://repo.iitd.ac.in/debian <release> main contrib non-free
Add the following line to apt configuration (Usually
/etc/apt/apt.conf
)Acquire::http { Proxy "http://repo.iitd.ac.in:9999"; };
Apply the proxy selectively on every run. Eg:
apt-get -o 'Acquire::http::Proxy="http://repo.iitd.ac.in:9999"' install love
To selectively use it for some servers only, prepend
http://repo.iitd.ac.in:9999/
to entries in apt sources. Eg:deb http://repo.iitd.ac.in:9999/ftp.debian.org/debian <release> main
