Direct Install:
Download all ISO files for your version and operating system.
Mount/extract the first disk and start the installation process.
Follow on screen instructions.
Add the license server information when prompted.Ansys Mechanical licenses are also avaialable effective 1 April 2024
NOTE: ANSYS Mechanical APDL is supported only till ANSYS v14.0 - i.e. no version released after 30th September 2012. This can be downloaded here. Unfortunately, there is no support for the same.Common Issue(s)

Direct Install:
Download the installer.
Run (windows)/extract (linux: tar zxvf file) the file and start the installation process.
Follow on screen instructions.
Add the license server information when prompted.Please note that the gateway is NOT the license server. Contact hpchelp@iitd.ac.in from your IITD address if help is needed for installation and configuration on HPC.
The linux version does NOT have a GUI. -
